– Technical Writing
Language reflects values, impacts opinions, and can separate people with and without disabilities into “us” and “them,” resulting in barriers instead of inclusion. Clear and accurate writing is part of inclusive design.
Whether creating policies and procedures, curriculum, website content, or marketing material, you will gain knowledge, learn strategies, and discover resources to help ensure the language you’re using reflects the messages you want to communicate.

Using a customized AODA checklist for your organization, we review your existing accessibility policies and procedures and evaluate any accessibility barriers. We then prepare documentation, deliver training, monitor and address complaints, help you submit reports, and perform an annual review and needs assessment of your organization.
Ensure that you are up-to-date and in compliance with AODA standards and documentation requirements. We assist you in creating and maintaining the following documents:
– Accessibility policy
– Accessibility procedures and practices
– Training policy and training records
– Customer feedback and complaints forms
– Safety and emergency information
– AODA compliance report
– AODA long-term plan
Accessibility awareness and training helps make any organization more inclusive, which improves the quality of your business, the reputation of your organization, and your customer service.
Choose from standardized AODA customer service training or customized AODA workshops designed to reflect your goals and the needs of your clients, staff, and volunteers.
Accessible and inclusive language is essential to reflect the messages you want to communicate.
We review your print, online, and web-based content and then edit for clear and inclusive information. We provide editing comments on how to improve your writing through the use of plain language and inclusive terminology.
Mary Neilans writes articles on issues related to aging and disability awareness. She also develops Recommended Reading lists on these topics for libraries, schools, and other organizations.
